Position                                 

• Dual-Certified ELA and Social Studies Teacher

About the Role:

• This unique position involves working with 9th-12th grade students, providing engaging, student-centered instruction while collaborating with ELA and Social Studies faculty. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing Project-Based Learning (PBL) and cross-curricular initiatives, fostering an interdisciplinary learning environment.       

Location:

• Genesee Community College and Byron Bergen CSD
• Hours: 7:45am-2:45pm

Salary:                                               

• $45,000-$55,000
• Negotiable based on experience

Start Date:                 

• August 2025

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Dual NYS Certification in Social Studies and ELA, or in the process of obtaining certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Is a team-oriented, innovative self-starter with a passion for student engagement.
• Thrives in a flexible and dynamic educational setting.
• Has experience with Project-Based Learning or is eager to implement it.
